A new decade, a new season and that can only mean one thing... A brand new Carhartt WIP collection is out into the world.
In current states of fashion and constant human nature, the craving for more and the demand for something new and innovative is always pushing these brands to create a collection better than the one before. Carhartt has been one of the brands which have consistently achieved this high level of output, always pushing the boundaries and giving the fashion community something to take about.
With their latest collection, they have taken a slight turn, instead of re-inventing, they have taken what they are good at and simply fed into it, creating a collection built upon their core and staple Carhartt WIP classics with tweaks to outshine the last. Tweaks coming through subtle detailing and fabrication, as well as tones and hues.
With the new release of iconic garments, such as the Prentis Liner and classic American Script logo brought back onto the product with premium quality and attention to detail that's second to none. This collection is designed to be worn for decades to come, Carhartt are creating now, what one day will be rare vintage archive pieces which kids of the future will forever chase to find.
One of our favourites from the collection is the Marsh Jacket. A hooded jacket which is your perfect seasonal transition piece. This all-black jacket features mesh lining, a drawstring hood, full zip closure as well as ribbed trims to keep you protected from whatever weather. Coming in a black and white colourway and crafted from a lightweight cotton and nylon blend. Carhartt has created a street-ready product, aimed to keep you looking on point whatever the weather.
Something we believe Carhartt do exceptionally well in their campaign and lookbook imagery, accompanying every collection they put out. Their most recent was shot by Paris based photographer, Thibaut Grevet. Taking inspiration from the mid 90s Carhartt WIP editorial imagery, Thibaut draws a contemporary interpretation from mixtures of curators, musicians and DJs.
