Adidas Shoes and the streetwear focused clothing line by Adidas Originals has a past like no other. Steeped in a history that outlasted World Wars, created Olympic Champions and World Cup Winners, bridged the gap between runway fashion and street culture, and shuffled to the beat of a Hip Hop icon.
Adi Dassler is the man you can thank for the iconic streetwear staples of today like the Superstar, Continental 80 and Stan Smith, as well as those irresistible 3 stripes being adorned on tracksuits, hoodies and some of the finest jacketing. In the early 2000’s Adidas ‘officially’ launched its new lifestyle segment, focusing on sports-inspired streetwear. Adidas Originals was born and has since included collaborations with the likes of Stella McCartney, Yohji Yamamoto (Y-3), Porsche and of course Yeezy. The Trefoil logo is used extensively in this range and elevates its pieces from the basic Adidas sportswear line. The latest collection of Adidas Originals features subtle camo, super poppy colours on a 3D Trefoil, segments of 3 stripes and a mini superstar hit. Finish off the look with fresh pair of Stan Smiths, Originals bucket hat and the RYV waist bag. In addition to these make sure you check out the 2 Vegan models of Adidas Shoes just launched last month. The Continental 80 and Superstar have both been given a sustainable rework. Both come in Cloud White, feature a shitload of recycled materials, and remind you that “This shoe alone will not save the planet” My personal favourites of this drop (and I ordered it so I have to back it right?) have to be the Camo Crewneck and Camo Sweatpant. Combo them up, pop the tongue on your superstars and walk this way. Don’t sleep on the Adidas Originals blog right here, feed your brain with some streetwear history!
