Just landed in our streetwear nz store and online is the latest drop from Carhartt or maybe you’re more familiar with the name Carhartt WIP. Originally built as workwear clothing, with focus on heavy weight cottons and durability in order to endure tough working conditions. Carhartt WIP is the extension of the Carhartt Workwear brand, the WIP (Work in Progress) collection is now considered one of the most influential streetwear brands. It has deeply rooted itself into a wide range of subcultures from musicians, artists and skateboarding.
Recently Carhartt WIP Skateboarding released a video titled "INSIDE OUT" a 28 minute piece that was two years in the making. It features WIP team riders from all across the main European cities.
The WIP collection includes classic Carhartt Workwear pieces such as jackets, hoodies, and beanies with a modern fit and feel to them. They have redefined the garments with modern materials and a more tailored fit for today's streetwear style. For this drop that we have online and in-store at our Auckland based store we have Carhartt womens and mens styles in our offering.
Some of our favourite and sure to sell out streetwear pieces from this collection are the Carhartt Jackets, especially the Nimbus Pullover Jacket and the Marsh Jacket in Black/White. The Carhartt WIP Nimbus Jacket is a go to pullover style jacket with a fleece liner, making it feel more like a hoodie however built with a shell constructed from Nylon Supplex. This makes the jacket fully water-repellent and fully breathable too.
