HUF Worldwide Clothing X Street Fighter
HUF Worldwide X Street Fighter fireball to hit soon . . . Don’t Freeze
Following on from the amazing HUF collabs with Playboy, Pulp Fiction, multiple artists and the latest banger Kill Bill, HUF is dripping us in a range that takes us back to our youth, jostling for position in arcades, Chinese takeaways, and your local dairy. HUF X Street Fighter is about to fly in on a Ryu hurricane.
After spending the best part of my teenage years, and let’s be honest most of my twenties, playing Street Fighters many variations (they should have stopped at 2.5 hyper fight), I am finding it increasingly difficult not to lose my shit over the latest HUF collab, as we get closer to the drop date later this month at Fallen Front.
If you are in or near my age bracket you too will have grown up on the basic arcade and home video games, be it Atari, Sega or handheld Donkey Kong. These were a healthy appetizer to what became the main course. Street Fighter broke new ground in ‘gaming’ as it is now known. First, it was direct 1 on 1 combat, either against the CPU or your best mate! 6 buttons, all of which could be used in what seemed like limitless combinations to embarrass your opponent. Example a: Guile fires a sonic boom, followed up with a jump in big slap, small punch, and medium blade kick. If timed to perfection this was pretty much indefensible and would send the opponent into stars so Guile could once again have his way with his next best combo – You Lose!
The range itself features some of the more colourful characters blending their signature styles with HUF classic logos. Blanka is found electrifying the HUF Triple Triangle on a Black Pullover Hoodie, and again on a black tee.
Ryu is poised to light someone up with a fireball on the front of a black tee, accompanied by ‘HUF Worldwide’ in an electric blue Street Fighter font.
Dhalsim and his long arms almost appear 3D popping off the front of a crispy white tee. A subtle Street Fighter logo sits nicely on the left sleeve, all of this in very traditional Street Fighter yellow and orange hues.
On those cooler nights heading our way, you can adorn the whole family across your shoulders in the Ending L/S Tee. Ryu and Ken are front and centre with E-Honda, Balrog, Chun-Li and Zangief close by. If you make it past that lot, as always Vega, Sagat and M. Bison are waiting in the background. It also features a front print of the insert coin screen, plug in a twenty and let’s fight!
The bonus stage tee comes in black and has the iconic green car half smashed, overlaying the OG HUF print in white. What was your best time?
Rounding out the range HUF has produced some amazing accessories, including a couple of skate decks, a Sake bomb set and sticker packs!
The HUF X Street Fighter collaboration drops at Fallen Front on April 23. Keep a peeper on our gram story @fallenfront for updates, and sign up to the mailer for early access.
