A caricature of a Jazz Age flapper girl, Betty Boop is regarded as one of the first and most famous sexsymbols on the animated screen. Making her first appearance on August 9, 1930, in the cartoon DizzyDishes, her popularity was drawn largely from adult audiences, and the cartoons, while seemingly surreal,contained many sexual innuendos for which Betty Boop has become to be known for. This September, HUF put their own spin on one of the most adorned and desired characters of the past.
